Dermagyan is an educational  dermatology blog created to share accurate, easy‑to‑understand information about skin, hair, nails, and overall health with patients, students, and young dermatologists.

This website is designed primarily as a blog platform, where we regularly publish posts on all types of skin, hair, nail, and health‑related topics, ranging from everyday concerns to more complex conditions.

Dermagyan is created and managed by Dr. Hitesh Bhalavi, MD (Dermatology), Consultant Dermatologist and Founder of Sukoon Skin Clinic, Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh).
He completed his MBBS from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, and MD Dermatology from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, with advanced training in medical, cosmetic, and procedural dermatology.

Over the years, Dr. Hitesh has treated thousands of patients and focuses on scientific, safe, and cost‑effective treatment, avoiding unnecessary tests or aggressive marketing‑driven procedures.
Through this blog, his vision is that no patient should suffer simply because they did not get clear, reliable information about their disease, medicines, or treatment options.

On Dermagyan, you will find:

  • Patient‑friendly blog posts in simple language, with key dermatology terms in English for clarity.
  • Articles on all types of skin, hair, and nail conditions – acne, pigmentation, infections, allergies, hair fall, dandruff, nail infections, and more.
  • Practical “how‑to” guidance on using topical and oral medicines correctly, treatment timelines, and when to consult a dermatologist.
  • Realistic expectations about treatments and procedures – what actually helps, what has limits, and what is just a myth.
  • Evidence‑based health and lifestyle tips (diet, sleep, stress, hormones, routines) that influence your skin, hair, and nail health from within.
  • Posts that are also useful for residents and young dermatologists who want concise, guideline‑oriented, and clinically practical reading material.

You can also expect:

  • Step‑by‑step skincare and haircare routines for different skin types and common concerns (oily skin, sensitive skin, acne‑prone skin, hair fall, dandruff, etc.).

  • Clarification of common skincare and haircare myths spread by social media, marketing, and home remedies, with scientific explanations.

  • Simple explanations of popular dermatology procedures (chemical peels, lasers, microneedling, PRP, etc.) – how they work, who they are for, benefits, risks, and aftercare.

Our core principles:

  • No shortcuts and no miracle claims – only scientific, honest, and empathetic guidance rooted in evidence‑based dermatology.
  • Clear communication of what treatment can and cannot do, so that you have realistic expectations and are not misled by myths or over‑promises.
  • Respect for your time, money, and trust – we aim to simplify information, improve adherence, and empower you to participate in your own care.
